A Founding Partnership
The ACT Government today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT.
“The MOU establishes the basis for a co-operative working relationship between Parks, Conservation & Land (PCL) and Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT,” Russell Watkinson, Director of PCL said.
“The MOU will move us toward a more positive and proactive relationship with an important user of the ACT’s parks and forest trails.
“The MOU addresses and develops issues such as joint projects, trip reporting, risk management, training opportunities and special access arrangements.

Victorian Fires
Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT send on behalf of all 4WD Clubs in NSW & ACT our best wishes to all Victorians and our sincere condolences to all those who have suffered loss of loved ones and property. It is a terrible event and those of us from other States will look for every means possible to support those effected and assist with the recovery efforts which must occur.
As a practical measure, Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT will look to coordinate NSW & ACT 4WD Club members to journey to Victoria to assist with road and track clearing and any other community work as required by the Victorian authorities.
Furthermore, we will seek to raise funds within 4WD Clubs in NSW & ACT to pay for Stock Fodder and to coordinate a convoy to deliver it to those areas advised by the Victorian authorities.
Many 4WD Clubs and members are already giving funds to charities and donating blood. We will continue to do everything possible to support Victorians affected by this catastrophe and will work with Four Wheel Drive Victoria to assist in the most effective way possible.

Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT Inc works for access to public and private lands for responsible 4WD and AWD touring and camping on behalf of its member clubs. It presents our views to public land managers in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory to keep bush trails and roads open. Our clubs' activities include outback trips, enjoying the Australian bush, responsible 4WD competition, maintenance of trails and a range of charitable activities. Our members come from all walks of life and our activities encourage healthy active families. We love the bush and want it accessed responsibly.
